Endothelium-denuded rat aortas were incubated with 1.7, 3.4, or 5.1% sevoflurane for 15 min before exposure to GTPγS and were homogenized 20 min after treatment with 10−4m GTPγS. The immunoreactive band of RhoA was detected with Western blotting. Sevoflurane inhibited GTPγS-stimulated membrane translocation of RhoA in a dose-dependent manner. The amount of RhoA in the membrane fraction was expressed as percentage of total RhoA in both the cytosolic and membrane fractions. *P < 0.05, **P < 0.01 versus the value in the presence of GTPγS but in the absence of sevoflurane (n = 4).
