Overexpression of death-associated protein kinase 1 (DAPK1) was associated with an increase in mouse alveolar epithelial cells apoptosis. Mouse alveolar epithelial cells were transfected with DAPK1Δcalmodulin (DAPK1ΔCaM) plasmid to increase active DAPK1. (A) A change in cell morphology was observed under an optical microscope.
