Fig. 6.
Influence of intra-cuneate nucleus (CN) administration of γ-aminobutyric acid type A (GABAA) or type B (GABAB) receptor antagonist plus allopregnanolone on nerve injury-induced mechanical hypersensitivity. The chronic constriction injury (CCI) rats receiving microinjection of allopregnanolone had a significant increase in the mechanical withdrawal threshold compared with those receiving vehicle (*P < 0.05). Compared with allopregnanolone administration, concomitant delivery of bicuculline and allopregnanolone in CCI rats significantly decreased the mechanical withdrawal threshold (#P < 0.05). No significant difference in the mechanical withdrawal threshold was observed between CCI rats microinjected with phaclofen plus allopregnanolone and those receiving allopregnanolone alone. Error bars represent mean ± SD. n = 6 rats per group.
