Old age was independently associated with the incidence of potentially substantial oxygen exposure with a P value for overall effect of 0.028 and a P value for nonlinear effect of 0.025. Point estimates and the 95% CI for these relationships are shown by the black line and the gray band, respectively. Log odds of potentially substantial oxygen exposure decreases as age increases to around 50 yr, and it increases for age being older than 50.
