Values are mean ± SD. The anesthesia data did not differ significantly among the groups. Vasoconstriction threshold is the compensated core temperature triggering a skin-temperature gradient = 0°C. Patients who vasoconstricted and those remaining vasodilated are both included. Vasoconstriction threshold (and other parameters) were determined only in patients who had vasoconstriction.

DAN = diabetic autonomic neuropathy.
