Computers have changed so many aspects of our lives – from how we communicate, to how we work, to how we shop, to how we date. For better or for worse, they've even changed the way we think. We are all constantly inundated with information, and more information is always just a click or a tap or a swipe of the finger away. Staggering amounts of data are easily accessible, but our brains are still only able to process a small fraction of it.

Good medicine requires good thinking. To make sound decisions, clinicians must understand what information is important and what is just noise. Making that determination is becoming increasingly difficult as the amount of information available balloons. To provide the best care, we must rely on technology to make sense of it all – to see patterns and relationships in data that our brains simply cannot.
