Welcome to another installment of “Ask the Expert!” I hope everyone enjoyed the insight from Dr. Pisani in the inaugural edition. This month, we are going to get off the topic of COVID-19, which I am hoping will be a welcome change. A gentle reminder: I am continually soliciting topics, feedback, and Expert volunteers. Please get in touch (zdeutch@yahoo.com) and let me know what you want from this column! And remember that an “expert” does not necessarily have to be an academic, published physician – just someone who is clinically “at the top of his/her game” in a particular area.
I am pleased to introduce our next Expert,Dr. Kamen Vlassakov, Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at Harvard Medical School and attending anesthesiologist at Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH) in Boston. Dr. Vlassakov hails from Bulgaria and emigrated to the U.S. in the early 1990s.
Thank...
