2017 marked another year of milestones and transformation for ASA. Ten years ago, in 2007, ASA leadership undertook the Organizational Improvement Initiative, which sought to introduce to the Society best practices in association operations. This included improvements in management, business procedures and member support as well as strengthening of ASA program areas with a focus on advocacy and education.
As we celebrate the new year, it’s natural to want to look back at our progress in 2017 and to anticipate new success in 2018. Since I joined ASA as your CEO almost five years ago, I’ve often used this column to share insights with you about our organizational strategy and direction.
