The Subspecialty Panels will be presented at various times throughout ANESTHESIOLOGY® 2017 at the Boston Convention Center. The panels have been selected by subspecialty experts to help you gain the latest insights into your field.
The Society for Obstetric Anesthesia and Perina-tology (SOAP) will present “Programmed Intermittent Epidural Bolus for Maintenance of Labor Epidural Analgesia.” This panel will provide an updated view of the PIEB, with special emphasis on effective implementation strategies for the technique. The talks will address evidence for PIEB ability to maintain epidural labor analgesia more effectively than continuous epidural infusions. Current knowledge regarding PIEB impact on obstetric outcomes will be discussed, and future strategies to optimize utilization will be suggested.
