ASA is the premier organization supporting physician anesthesiologists and the profession for more than 110 years. As ASA Secretary, it has been my pleasure these past four years serving as chair of the Committee on Membership (COM). The COM made excellent progress in 2015 developing and advancing several key initiatives from the 2015-17 Strategic Plan, and 2016 will be another year of innovation and change.
