The first session of the House of Delegates (HOD) will convene at 8 a.m. on Sunday, October 12, 2014. ASA President Jane C.K. Fitch, M.D. and President Elect J.P. Abenstein, M.D. will present their remarks at this session. This opening session will also include the presentation of awards, an ASA Political Action Committee update, and the nomination of officers and candidate speeches to the HOD.
The second session of the HOD will convene promptly at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, October 15, 2014. Election of officers will be one of the first agenda items. The House will then consider the reports of the four reference committees using formal parliamentary procedure to dispose of the recommendations and any motions, amendments, referrals or other such actions of the House.
