The Joint Council on Anesthesiology Examinations encourages all trainees in anesthesiology to participate in the 40th national In-Training Examination (ITE). The computerized examination, which consists of 225 multiple-choice questions, will be administered February 20-22, 2014 to all residents enrolled in an ACGME-accredited training program during the 2013-2014 academic year.
The ITE Content Outline, previous tests and answer keys, and sample ITE video questions are available in the Examinations & Certifications section of the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) website at www.theABA.org. Keyword feedback will be supplied to examinees and program directors. Scores will also be provided to enable examinees to track their own knowledge growth and compare their performance with the performance of other residents at the same training level. Each program director will receive a summary of the performance of all trainees in their program, including all years a trainee has participated.
