The 21st Annual FAER-Helrich Research Lecture will be presented by Daniel I. Sessler, MD, on Monday, October 11, during ANESTHESIOLOGY® 2021 in San Diego. Dr. Sessler is the Michael Cudahy Chair of the Department of Outcomes Research within the Anesthesiology Institute at the Cleveland Clinic. His lecture is titled “Crisis and Opportunity in Clinical Trials.” In it, Dr. Sessler will identify what he considers to be the most significant problems facing perioperative medicine, discuss why anesthesiologists are best positioned to solve these problems, and present novel trial methods that will facilitate the process.

Dr. Sessler attended medical school at Columbia University and subsequently completed pediatric and anesthesiology residencies at the University of California, Los Angeles.
