As your Vice President for Scientific Affairs, it is my pleasure to provide you with an update of activities in the area of scientific affairs. Although this has been a very challenging year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, ASA is fortunate to have so many highly qualified members who continue to participate in the advancement of scientific and medical knowledge despite the unforeseen barriers encountered along the way. I want to thank our ASA members and leaders who responded with incredible dedication and commitment to the care of patients while promoting science.
