Proposed changes to the 2022 Quality Payment Program (QPP) and its Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) pathway will offer opportunities for individuals and groups to reduce their burden and prepare for a more focused program in the future. Although these proposals will not be finalized until later this year, the proposed rule provides enough direction for anesthesiologists and their groups to plan for 2022 and beyond.
