COVID-19 has created a complete disruption within our society. During this unprecedented crisis, our local community members, hospital administrators, governmental officials, and key stakeholders have turned to physician expertise and guidance in navigating through uncertainty. As the health care sector looks toward the future, early-career physicians will be most impacted by the decisions being made today. This is an immediate example of why early-career physicians' participation in professional advocacy is essential.

In a study conducted by the American Medical Association (AMA), early-career physicians (millennial physicians) had an 83% positive response to being committed to their medical career (AMA 2020).
