Black Friday and Cyber Monday are known for door-busting deals, long lines and midnight shopping. But a new day has emerged to promote gratitude and charitable giving after the chaos and frenzy of the days that precede it.
Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Since 2012, the total amount raised from the Giving Tuesday movement, now an annual ritual, is over $1 billion online in the U.S. This campaign is the kick-starter to many charitable giving events as it leads into the holiday season.
For a third year, ASA is participating in Giving Tuesday and supporting our Foundations – the Anesthesia Patient Safety Foundation (APSF), ASA Charitable Foundation, Foundation for Anesthesia Education and Research (FAER) and the Wood Library-Museum of Anesthesiology (WLM).
