Over the past five years, ASA has worked to enhance its global image and position the society as a leader in patient safety and quality outcomes worldwide. Through the combined efforts of the Committee on International Collaboration (CIC), Committee on Annual Meeting Oversight (AMOC), ASA staff and a growing number of international anesthesiology societies, ASA’s role in global anesthesia initiatives is expanding.
We’d like to share with you some of the exciting activities and milestones from 2017 that have raised the profile of the society globally and made ASA a more valuable association to all its members.
ASA has a growing network of international anesthesia society partners, including a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed in 2017 with the Mexican Federation of Colleges of Anesthesiology and a potential MOU with the Korean Society of Anesthesiology in discussions.
