The Division of Scientific Affairs addresses interests across the breadth of our specialty. Below, you’ll find highlighted what’s new for ASA’s annual meeting and for ASA’s education product portfolio.
We go to our annual meeting for many different reasons: education offerings, science offerings, and professionalism activities. ANESTHESIOLOGY® 2016, in Chicago on October 22-26, is on track to meet all our expectations. Building on last year’s successes, the Opening Session will again begin the meeting, featuring Michael E. Porter of the Harvard Business School Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness, followed by five days of educational sessions. The Emery A. Rovenstine Memorial Lecture will be given by David H. Chestnut, M.D., and the John W. Severinghaus Lecture on Translational Research will be presented by Daniel I. Sessler, M.D.
The meeting flow will be more smoothly coordinated, with all sessions either 60 or 120 minutes so it will be easier to reach...
