While we are busy with the transition to ICD-10-CM/PCS, we cannot lose sight of the fact that the 2016 CPT® code set will include many new or revised codes. Additionally, some codes will be deleted or dropped from CPT. It is very important that ASA members stay up to date on these annual changes. The members of the Committee on Economics CROSSWALK Panel meet each year to review all the changes to the CPT code set and determine the impact these changes will have on coding anesthesia care for the procedures described by new or revised CPT codes.
