John B. Neeld, Jr., M.D. will receive the ASA Distinguished Service Award (DSA) at the ANESTHESIOLOGY™ 2014 annual meeting in New Orleans. The DSA is the highest award given by our society for meritorious service and achievement. First given in 1945, the DSA recognizes the unique contributions made by the recipient to the advancement of the specialty and to ASA which have helped transform how we practice, what we do and who we are. The DSA has been given annually nearly every year since 1945.
