To the Editor:--Myriad computer applications exist for anesthesia, including simulators, [1,2]data acquisition, [3]and cost-analysis tools. [4]We developed a software application for storing and processing the American Board of Anesthesiology annual training report. The application is written for the Windows 95 environment on the personal computer using Microsoft's Visual Basic 3.0. The program displays a facsimile of the ABA report (Figure 1) and prompts the resident for the case data. The numbers are totaled and saved electronically, and a submittable hard copy is generated. All nineteen of our residents found this to be easier and quicker than performing the same task by hand. All residency programs are welcomed to solicit free copies of this application.
