In the article “Perioperative cardiac arrests in children between 1988 and 2005 at a tertiary referral center” (Flick RP, Sprung J, Harrison TE, Gleich SJ, Schroeder DR, Hanson AC, Buenvenida SL, Warner DO: Anesthesiology 2007; 106:226–37) there is an error in the following sentence: “Of the 26 noncardiac patients who experienced CA, 7 had congenital heart disease, such that 87.5% of all patients who experienced perioperative CA had underlying heart disease.” This sentence should have read “76% of all patients,” not “87.5% of all patients.”
The authors regret this error.
