In the December 2004 issue of the Journal, in the Case Report by Jacob et al. entitled “Transient Profound Neurologic Deficit Associated with Thoracic Epidural Analgesia in an Elderly Patient” (

), the first sentence of the “Case Report” section currently reads:
A 91 yr-old, 152-cm, 52-kg female was scheduled to undergo elective thoracotomy for repair of a symptomatic type III paraesophageal hiatal hernia using the Belsey Mark intravenous procedure.
This sentence should read:
A 91-yr-old, 152-cm, 52-kg female was scheduled to undergo elective thoracotomy for repair of a symptomatic type III paraesophageal hiatal hernia using the Belsey Mark IV procedure.
