In the August 2004 issue of the Journal, the Pain and Regional Anesthesia article entitled “Early but No Long-term Benefit of Regional Compared with General Anesthesia for Ambulatory Hand Surgery”

contained an incorrect academic degree for the lead author. The correct academic degrees are as follows: Colin J. L. McCartney, M.B.Ch.B., F.C.A.R.C.S.I., F.R.C.A. The publisher regrets this error.
