First, we routinely have sufficient time for prepuncture preparation in our institution, especially for pediatric patients. As detailed in the second paragraph of the “Anesthesia and Preparatory Phase” section of the article, “In the single-operator laser-assisted ultrasound-guidance group, before the patient entered the operating room, the assistant prepared the equipment as follows.”2 The preparation of the ultrasound system had been completed before the patient entered the operating room, which, in fact, did not waste the actual time of positioning and cannulation.
